A homeless shelter aimed towards at risk and homeless lgbtq+ youth
The lgbtq+ community are more at risk to be homeless or suffer from addiction.
With Bournemouth having a prominent gay scene and high numbers of homelessness; I felt it was appropriate to design this homeless shelter with rehabilitation facilities
There are not many of these shelters that provide for this minority group, so these shelters are designed for the safety and protection of the tenants rather than exclusivity.
This shelter is designed for the rehabilitation of homeless people, we aim to get them back to independent living whilst living within a shared community. The main basis of this design is self expression and creativity and my aim is to get the tenants onto further education. There is also a clinic that helps any rehabilitation and sexual health issues.
